Your cPanel email account may have a restricted resource limit that's measured in MegaBytes. For example, our Basic Hosting plans are limited at 250MB storage space per email address.
To get more email storage space, you may want to connect your website emails to Google Workspace. Alternatively you may connect your email account to Gmail via POP3 and IMAP.
Follow the instructions below if you'd like to send and receive emails at your domain through Gmail via POP3 and IMAP.
Receive Emails from Your Domain via Gmail:
1. On your computer, sign in to the Gmail account you want to import to.2. In the top right, click Settings Settings and then See all settings
3. Click the Accounts and import tab.
4. In the "Check mail from other accounts" section, click Add a mail account.
5. Type the email address of the email account at your domain, then click Next.
6. Select the option, "Import emails from my other account (POP3)"
7. Add your email account.
-- Username: Enter your full email address, i.e.: EMAIL@YOURDOMAIN.com
-- Password: Type your password
-- POP Server: mail.YOURDOMAIN.com
-- Port: 995
-- "Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail"
-- Leave all the other boxes unchecked
9. Click Add Account.
Send Emails from Your Domain via Gmail:
If you own an email address at your domain name, you can send emails from that domain name using Gmail.
Step 1: Add an address you own
1. On your computer, open Gmail.2. In the top right, click Settings (Gear icon) and then > See all settings.
3. Click the Accounts and import or Accounts tab.
4. In the "Send mail as" section, click Add another email address.
5. In the pop-up window that appears, enter your name and the address you want to send from.
6. Deselect the checkbox option that says, "Treat as an alias" then click the "Next Step >>" button.
7. Configure the SMTP server with the following settings:
-- SMTP Server: mail.YOURDOMAIN.com
-- Port: 465
-- Username: Enter your full email address, i.e.: EMAIL@YOURDOMAIN.com
-- Password: Enter your password
-- Select: Secured connection using TLS
8. Click the "Add Account" button
Step 2: Confirm the address
1. Sign in to your email account on cPanel.2. Open the confirmation message you received from Gmail.
3. Click the confirmation link.
